Who's paying for wins?
Every AP Top 25 program's week-by-week schedule, lined up against an estimate of what each roster costs in NIL & revenue-share money. When two tracked programs play each other, see both figures side by side before kickoff.
Tracking the 25 teams in the Week 3 AP Top 25 (as of Sep 13, 2026). NIL figures are independent market estimates, not verified contracts — see "About these numbers" below.

Every NIL figure this page has collected, by school and by source, instead of blended into one number. Blank cells mean that source doesn't cover that school. 2025 and 2026 aren't apples-to-apples — see the column notes below the table.

About the raw data columns
2025 NCAA/247Sports (25 of 70 schools) is the NCAA's own estimate of collective/booster NIL money only for the 2025 season, as reported by 247Sports — it does not include revenue-share payments, so it is not directly comparable to the 2026 columns, which combine both.
2026 The Sideline (70 of 70) is the primary source for this whole page — see "About these numbers" above.
2026 NYT/Athletic (68 of 70 — every Power Four + Notre Dame program The Athletic covers) shows the ranges from Stewart Mandel, David Ubben & Sam Khan Jr.'s Sep 16, 2026 report. That interactive stays blocked from automated fetching for this build even with a subscriber signed in, so these figures were transcribed directly from the user's own screenshots of the live page — first-hand, not a secondhand summary. The two tracked programs it doesn't cover (South Florida, Boise State) are outside the Power Four + Notre Dame set it reports on.
2026 StickToTheModel (4 of 70) publishes an exact figure only for Texas (~$45M); Ohio State, Notre Dame and Tennessee are described only as "high-$30Ms," and the rest of their table wasn't extractable as discrete numbers.
2026 CBS Sports (11 of 70) is prose from a poll of 50+ industry sources — thresholds and ranges, not a per-team number, quoted here rather than converted into a false-precision figure.
Assembled Sep 16, 2026. Treat every column as a modeled estimate, not a verified contract or payroll figure.
About these numbers
NIL & roster value comes from The Sideline's Football NIL Tracker (snapshot as of Sep 4, 2026), which estimates each program's active football roster market — combining the revenue-share pool every school can pay directly under the House settlement with third-party NIL/collective money. These are the same order of magnitude reported elsewhere: CBS Sports' poll of 50+ industry insiders (Aug 17, 2026) put Texas, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas A&M all above $40M, and StickToTheModel's roster-spend model independently had Texas on top too. We originally set out to pull this from the New York Times/The Athletic's NIL budget interactive, but that page sits behind a subscriber paywall this build can't fetch through directly — the Raw Data tab does now carry those figures, transcribed from the user's own subscription, if you want a different methodology's take on the same question.
None of these figures are verified contracts. Collective and booster spending isn't publicly disclosed anywhere, so every source in this space (ours included) is modeling an estimate from public revenue-share caps, reported deals, recruiting outcomes, and roster construction — not reading a real payroll. Treat differences of a few million between neighboring teams as noise, not signal.
Matchups cover the 2026 FBS regular season for the 25 teams in the Week 3 AP Top 25 poll (Sep 13, 2026), pulled from ESPN's schedule data. Only games already final show a score; everything else is upcoming. When an opponent isn't one of the 25 tracked programs and isn't in our broader top-70 NIL reference set, we show that team's own figure without a comparison bar rather than guess.
Wins by Spending and Points by Spending aren't limited to the AP Top 25 — they cover all ~70 programs in our NIL reference set, each with a full 2026 schedule pulled from ESPN. Unranked programs show up without an AP badge next to their name.
Page data assembled Sep 16, 2026. Rankings, records, and NIL estimates will drift as the season goes — this is a snapshot, not a live feed yet.
